TOMMY'S KID OF THE MONTH PROGRAM
In 2011, owner, Yvette Bonfiglio, found a second calling to help children and their families effected by pediatric cancer. At the time, she was unaware of how far and of how many lives she would come to touch. Yvette is passionate about being a helping hand in pediatric cancer awareness, research and embracing each family as her own.
In 2013, Tommy and Yvette were honorees of the 2nd annual Ashley Lauren Foundation Butterfly Ball; being recognized for all of their devotion to the foundation and families involved. In 2016, they hosted "Make Some Noise" which invited all families, charities and loved ones to an event to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
Yvette and Tommy have created a program called "Tommy's Kid of The Month". This program selects a child and their family each month to help raise money and support them during that month. Also during this time, the "kid of the month" is invited to come cook with the chefs of Tommy's and enjoy a day revolved around them.
ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
Tommy and Yvette Bonfiglio were surprised in August by a visit from St. Jude, with a beautiful plaque to thank them for all of their work and inviting them to the 2016 gala, which they attended in Memphis, Tennessee in September.
Since, they have become active with St. Jude and as of March 1, 2017 have launched a "Round Up & Give Hope" campaign within Tommy's Tavern + Tap, they are the first company in the area to create and launch such a campaign. They have given each person who visits Tommy's the opportunity to donate to St. Jude by rounding up their final bill and sending donations directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
AMERICAN RED CROSS
The Bonfiglio Family were the 2017 American Red Cross, New Jersey District -Clara Barton Humanitarian Award honorees for all their community work and outreach. Their daughter, Andrea sat on the board of the American Red Cross, New Jersey District from 2018 - 2019 and was awarded for her outstanding work during her time on the board.
The Bonfiglio's and Tommy's Tavern + Tap continue their work with the American Red Cross.
FRANCIS FOUNDATION
The Bonfiglio's have partnered with the Francis Foundation to move forward with their Kid of The Month Program!
The Frances Foundation has a focused, devoted commitment to bring smiles to kids fighting cancer. The Foundation strives to alleviate a child’s pain and suffering with a special gift, a special gesture, or even a few special moments. The Foundation also provides financial assistance to impoverished families desperately needing help due to their child’s fight again cancer. The Foundation seeks to give compassionately to children and families dealing with extremely difficult physical and emotional challenges. In addition to direct aid to a child or family, The Foundation also supports research aimed to terminate childhood cancers. Helping kids is our passion.
DO GOOD & COMMUNITY WORK
On December 1, 2016 The Bonfiglio's partnered up with Kick Cancer Over Board and surprised this "kid of the month" family with a cruise to Bermuda! Working with Kick Cancer Overboard, Yvette has given two families cruises in the month of December. Since, each year at Tommy's Christmas Tree Lighting the team kicks off their annual Toys for Tots campaign. They then hosted events such as Make Some Noise in 2017.
On September 13, 2017, The Bonfiglio Family was awarded with the Monmouth County's Chamber of Commerce Beacon Award; Which recognizes those who go above and beyond to give back to the community.
On July 10, 2019 ; Tommy's Tavern + Tap of Freehold was honored to host the signing of "Jake's Law".
Each year, Tommy's Tavern + Tap donates to fundraisers, charities, communities and schools.

Tommy's Tavern + Tap is switching to 100% biodegradable and compostable products in all of our restaurants. We doing our part to eliminate the use of all single - use plastics, in order to benefit the health of our community, our customers, and our planet.
